When I was in my twenties, I had a dream to write a book. I even “started” in 2010. I couldn’t seem to get passed the first page. Fast forward to late 2016, I was sitting on my couch watching reruns of ABC’s hit television show Castle with my infant daughter sleeping beside me when I remembered the dream. I thought then it was a silly dream to have, but how on this earth could I ever convince my daughter to follow her dreams if I never actually chased one of my own.

In 2017 I bought my first laptop and began the journey of writing Our War.

The process seemed to take forever. I lost hope. I lost confidence. I told myself many times, “no one will read it anyway,” and I almost gave up.

Almost.

In 2020 I met my biggest challenges. Negativity from those closest to me. I almost gave up.

Almost.

In December 2020 I released the first edition of Our War, and the rest is history…well hopefully it stays fiction and not actually history.
